We are looking for an experienced and dependable self-employed Garden Room Installation Fitter to carry out the installation of high-quality garden rooms and outdoor buildings across the UK. This role is suited to a skilled tradesperson with a strong background in carpentry or construction, who can deliver installations to a high standard while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Install garden rooms, home offices, studios, and similar outdoor structures in line with drawings and specifications

Prepare and construct bases and foundations where required (e.g. concrete, ground screws, timber bases)

Assemble structural frames, roofs, doors, windows, cladding, and internal finishes
-
Install insulation, flooring, and other specified components
-
Ensure all work complies with UK health & safety regulations and relevant building standards

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised site at all times
-
Communicate professionally with customers during installations

Work independently or as part of a small installation team

Take responsibility for your own tools, transport, and day-to-day site management
Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in garden room installation, carpentry, joinery, or general construction

Strong knowledge of timber construction and external building methods

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans

High standard of workmanship and attention to detail

Ability to work efficiently to agreed schedules

Problem-solving ability and a proactive attitude

Essential Requirements

Self-employed status with valid UTR number
-
Own tools and reliable vehicle suitable for site work

Valid Public Liability Insurance (minimum £2 million)
